I had my final round of chemotherapy last month so my treatment is over! I remain cancer free but will continue to have MRIs and other tests every three to six months (to make sure the cancer hasn't returned) for many years. It's been a long fifteen months, and I'm so grateful to all of you for your encouragement, positive thoughts and support.

It was a really crappy year relative to cancer in my circle of friends and family, a few folks lost their fight (including the best father-in-law ever and the father of one of our closest friends) and a few continue to battle despite very long odds against them. My son Will was diagnosed with leukemia last year. Cancer is a devastating disease that affects the lives of many who become involved with it. Unfortunately there are stories of victims of cancer that are tragic. Ours however is one of hope and survival as Will is doing well and in remission. Because of all the efforts by many cancer fighting organizations, I feel Will has been given this opportunity toward survival.
