Greetings family and friends,

As many of you know, my son Will was diagnosed with leukemia last year.  Cancer is a devastating disease that affects the lives of many who become involved with it.  Unfortunately there are stories of victims of cancer that are tragic.  Ours however is one of hope and survival as Will is doing well and in remission.  Because of all the efforts by many cancer fighting organizations, I feel Will has been given this opportunity toward survival.

Last September I participated in Livestrong ride here in Portland supporting the Lance Armstrong Foundation whose mission is to inspire and empower people affected by cancer through advocacy, public health and research.  Such an organization like this is what has helped give Will and others a fighting chance.

This coming September I am doing the Livestrong ride again, but instead of only donating myself, I'm asking you to help as well.  This time I'm teaming up with my friend Tim Medlin and others with an overall goal to raise $5000.  My individual goal is to raise $1500 or more.  I've already donated the required minimum of $500 so I'm in the ride.  So whatever you can do to help me and our team reach our goal would be fantastic and appreciated more than you can know.  Please click on the link below and you will be sent to my home page on the

Livestrong site, and then simply follow the instructions on how to make an online donation.

When Will was first diagnosed, so many of you generously asked: "how can I help?"  Well here is another way you can.  Help us and others to Livestrong.

Thank you very much for all you've done in the past and what you can do now.
