Team Risky Business 2009
Four Options to Participate As A Member of Team Risky Business:
Finally we have everything set up for our 2009 edition. As most of you are aware, the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) threw us a bit of a curve ball by moving the Portland LiveStrong Challenge to Seattle for 2009. However, thanks to the amazing support and direct involvement from each of you, Jennifer and I are continuing to take on the fight against cancer and are expecting our team to continue to have an amazing impact. In just 3 years of existence, you have had more than a $400,000 impact on the fight and we expect to blast by the half million $ mark in 2009
- Register for and participate in the San Jose Livestrong Challenge (July 12th) as part of Team Risky Business in support of the LAF. To join TRB San Jose go to the following link and select "join our team" and follow the directions. sanjose09.livestrong.org/riskybusiness
- Register for and participate in the Seattle Livestrong Challenge (June 21st) as part of Team Risky Business in support of the LAF. This team is small but will grow significantly as we get the word out to all of you and to all of our friends up in Washington. To join this team simply go to the following link and select "join our team" and follow the directions. Seattle09.livestrong.org/riskybusiness
- Register for and participate in the Pacific Crest Sports Festival in Bend, OR (June 26-28) to support either the LAF or the CTF. If you are choosing to participate in one of the Pacific Crest events please see the section below for the specifics on how to register and to select your preferred charity.
- Register for our Seattle team as a "Fundraising Only" member FOR FREE. You will still be part of the team, be able to train with the team and participate in any team events, but will not be required to participate in any of the actual events. To join this team simply go to the following link and select "join our team" and follow the directions. NOTE: Make sure and select the "VIRTUAL CHALLENGE" option near the end of the registration form.
Pacific Crest Sport Festival Weekend:
You can choose from a number events ranging from the Kids Dash, the Kids Splash, Pedal and Dash triathlon, running events ranging from a 5K through a full marathon, Duathlon and triathlons up to the long course distance (formally the Half Ironman Distance). You are required to register for your specific event and pay the appropriate registration fee for that event. Then you will also need to register on either our CTF team or our LAF team (free registration for each). This will set up your fundraising headquarters website and associate you with Team Risky Business. There is no minimum fundraising level required so even if you only raise $25 or you have a child who wants to sell lemonade and raises $5 it will all go to our teams efforts to support your selected charity.

LiveStrong Challenge Notes: Registration this year is $50 (free if you are participating as a "Virtual Challenge" member) and there is still a $250 fundraising minimum for all cycling events. There is no minimum for running events. Virtual Challenge members of our team receive free registration and there is no fundraising minimum, however, if you raise $50 or more you will receive a challenge T-Shirt and water bottle.
Thanks to each of you for the amazing impact you have had in the past few years and Jennifer and I look forward to connecting with you soon.

Congratulations Team Risky Business
Over $400,000 raised to date! You are all awesome people! You rode and ran in the heat. You sweated, smiled, hugged, cried, and laughed together - but most of all you made a difference!
